One of us will reply within a working day, usually the same afternoon. If the car you want is out, we will say so and suggest the one we would put you in instead, rather than quietly hoping you take whatever is left.

Nothing is taken at this stage. The deposit hold happens on the morning of handover, and only after you have agreed a final figure in writing.
