Castellan Windrose

Eight layers of roof, sixteen seconds.

The Windrose is a Ravenscourt with the roof taken away and the edges softened further. Eight layers of fabric fold flush in sixteen seconds, and the cabin stays quiet enough at seventy to hold a conversation without raising your voice.

The twin turbo V8 is the right engine for it. Less theatre than the V12, more of everything in the middle of the rev range, and a better companion when the road turns into two hours of motorway.

What the day includes

240 miles a day

Three hundred for Keyholders, unlimited for Curators. Beyond that it is £4.50 a mile, which covers tyres and servicing rather than punishing you.

Comprehensive insurance

Fully comprehensive cover with a £7,500 excess, halved for Keyholders and waived entirely at Curator level. The deposit is a hold, not a charge.

Delivery within 250 miles

On a covered transporter, at a time you choose, or collect from Motcomb Street. Either way the car arrives full and photographed.

Fourteen point preparation

Geometry, brakes, fluids, tyres and a twenty mile road test by the technician who prepared it, in the three days before it reaches you.
