The one we would take across France.

Warwickshire's answer to the grand touring question, and still the car we would choose for a run across France. The V12 sits behind the front axle, the boot swallows two proper cases, and the ride is supple enough that six hours pass without complaint.

It is the least aggressive car here and the one members come back to most often. There is nothing to prove in a Ravenscourt. You arrive unhurried, having covered ground rather faster than you thought.

What the day includes

240 miles a day

Three hundred for Keyholders, unlimited for Curators. Beyond that it is £4.50 a mile, which covers tyres and servicing rather than punishing you.

Comprehensive insurance

Fully comprehensive cover with a £10,000 excess, halved for Keyholders and waived entirely at Curator level. The deposit is a hold, not a charge.

Delivery within 250 miles

On a covered transporter, at a time you choose, or collect from Motcomb Street. Either way the car arrives full and photographed.

Fourteen point preparation

Geometry, brakes, fluids, tyres and a twenty mile road test by the technician who prepared it, in the three days before it reaches you.
