Varesi Tredici

Mid engine, rear wheel drive 6.5 litre V12 Rosso Ardente

The last of the naturally aspirated twelves.

The Tredici is the last car Varesi will build with twelve naturally aspirated cylinders, and it drives like a company saying goodbye properly. Very little happens below three thousand revs that you could not get from a warm hatchback. Everything happens above six.

It is easier to drive slowly than people expect. The steering is light, the visibility is better than the shape suggests, and it will sit in traffic without sulking. You will still find yourself taking the long way home, waiting for a clear stretch and the last two thousand revs.

What the day includes

240 miles a day

Three hundred for Keyholders, unlimited for Curators. Beyond that it is £4.50 a mile, which covers tyres and servicing rather than punishing you.

Comprehensive insurance

Fully comprehensive cover with a £15,000 excess, halved for Keyholders and waived entirely at Curator level. The deposit is a hold, not a charge.

Delivery within 250 miles

On a covered transporter, at a time you choose, or collect from Motcomb Street. Either way the car arrives full and photographed.

Fourteen point preparation

Geometry, brakes, fluids, tyres and a twenty mile road test by the technician who prepared it, in the three days before it reaches you.
