Varesi Lampo Spider
The one that goes out on the first warm weekend.
Fourteen seconds of roof mechanism separates a very good coupe from the reason most people book this car. The Lampo goes out on the first warm weekend in April and comes back in October, and in between it does more miles than anything else we own.
The V8 is turbocharged and makes no apology for it. Torque arrives early and stays, so the car feels quick without ever demanding full commitment. On a Cotswolds evening with the roof down, that is exactly the right character.

What the day includes
240 miles a day
Three hundred for Keyholders, unlimited for Curators. Beyond that it is £4.50 a mile, which covers tyres and servicing rather than punishing you.
Comprehensive insurance
Fully comprehensive cover with a £10,000 excess, halved for Keyholders and waived entirely at Curator level. The deposit is a hold, not a charge.
Delivery within 250 miles
On a covered transporter, at a time you choose, or collect from Motcomb Street. Either way the car arrives full and photographed.
Fourteen point preparation
Geometry, brakes, fluids, tyres and a twenty mile road test by the technician who prepared it, in the three days before it reaches you.
