One metre of draught changes everything
Most of the Mediterranean's best water is too shallow for most of the Mediterranean's boats. Lira draws barely a metre with her boards up, so she anchors a swim from the beach in calas where monohulls wait outside.
Life aboard happens outdoors: a cockpit the size of a terrace, trampolines forward for reading and stargazing, and a flat, stable deck that never makes anyone brace. Children treat her as a floating playground, which is roughly what she is.
Her crew of three keep things deliberately informal. Barefoot, flexible, and organised around the water rather than the clock.
