About each of us
Dr Eleanor Voss BVSc MRCVS
Eleanor founded Paws & Willow in 2015 after a decade in a big hospital practice, on the theory that unhurried appointments and knowing everyone's name aren't luxuries. She holds a certificate in small animal soft-tissue surgery and teaches the occasional pet first-aid evening at Larkhall community hall.
She shares her sofa with Biscuit, a lurcher with strong opinions about squirrels and none about anything else.
Dr Sam Herrera BVetMed MRCVS
Sam joined in 2019 from a feline-only practice in Bristol and remains our cat advocate — he'll gladly explain why your cat isn't being difficult, just being a cat. He's also our exotics-curious vet: rabbits, guinea pigs, rats and the occasional bearded dragon all see Sam.
Calm, methodical, and the person everyone asks to hold the wriggly ones.
Jo Fairbrother & Maya Clark RVN
Jo has nursed for twelve years and runs the weekday nurse clinics; Maya leads inpatient care and is the reason the ward smells of clean laundry rather than clinic. Between them they've taught hundreds of owners to give tablets, trim nails and check teeth without drama.
Pat Whitcombe
Pat has run the front desk since the day we opened. She knows every patient by name, remembers who's nervous of the scales, and keeps the biscuit tin stocked — for humans and otherwise.
Pat has also successfully dodged every staff photo since 2015. The drawing above is our best likeness, and she has approved it "reluctantly".
