Slow weather, made of voltage

SYRA builds slow weather out of voltage. Working from a modular‑synthesis studio in a former Lichtenberg substation, the Berlin‑based composer layers tape loops, detuned choirs and field recordings into pieces that move like fog — patient, cinematic, quietly enormous. Her scores for European film and television have earned festival honours; her live sets are performed in near darkness, one patch cable at a time, never the same way twice.
